We have had a number of recent promotions for our Members.

Martin Scarfe was recently awarded County Master. As was Pauline Young.

One of our regular pairs - Peter Duthie and Pat Hatrell also acheived County Master status. 

Well done to these members.

But a real stand out achievement goes to our own Phil Dolni and Hilary Russell. They have acheived 1 Star Master status which is very prestigious for the club.

We raised £150 - well done to all - for CIN and with 1920 results in congratulations to: Arnaud/Peter (68% 14th); Jan/Jean (60% 173rd); Robert/Paul (59% 226th)

In the first seven days of October Christine and John came 3rd= of 528 pairs nationally in the Sim Pairs.

Arnaud and Peter also did well (23rd) as did Pat and Betty(51st)

Peter finished a great week by winning the Suffolk Congress Teams at Felixstowe

August saw: John and Shirley Bowey promoted to Area Master, Hilary to Master, and John Jeffries to Advanced Master. Well done to all.

September saw a new departure for Little Clacton. Linda organised an event for Macmillan Cancer and raised over £190 with a little help from her friends. Again very well done and it's great to see the Club tradition of supporting others continuing on so strongly.

Well done to everyone for raising £116 to support Kidney Research at Stoke Mandeville.
We had four pairs score over 55% nationally: Peter & Arnaud - 62.3% 43rd/898; Con & Linda 59.4% 98th; Daphne & Sandra 56.2% 192nd; and Christine & John 55.5% 212th

In the British Summer Pairs Hilary & Frank came 28th of 476 with 62.3% and Peter & Arnaud finished 76th with 58.5%.

Well done everyone for £103 collected! Arnaud & Peter finished 6/1238, with Christine & John 96th, Robert & Paul 163rd and Linda & Michael 194th. Arnaud's Masterpoints won earned him promotion to Master so an extra special well done to him!

Well done to Christine, John, Peter & Karen who came 8th of 14 Teams in the Suffolk Club Teams of Four Competition. 

Two great scores in February, Pat & Paul achieved a fantastic 70.6% and two week later Arnaud & Janet scored 71.5%.

Well done to all for raising £200! Congratulation to Janice & Esther who came 87th of 1995 Pairs with 62.7% and won 554 Master Points.

Also to Linda & Karen with 58.8% & 425 Master Points; Jackie & Tony with 56.6% & 298 Master Points; Peter & Arnaud with 55.8% & 240 Master Points; Robert & Paul with 54.5% & 142 Master Points; Christine & John with 53.7% & 82 Master Points.

We won a total of over 1700 Master Points in the event!

Well done to Jan & Jean, Yvonne & Sarah, Linda & Frank, Jackie, Robert & Con, and Peter who all played at Felixstowe. Everyone enjoyed their weekend and we had some notable successes:

• Jan and Jean came 3rd of 17 Pairs in the Sunday section for players below the rank of Disrict Master
• Robert and Con qualified for the Pairs 'B' Final above some very strong pairs and picked up 0.63 Green Point (equivalent to 63 Master Points won in major events)
• Linda and Frank (a last minute reserve) came 5th in the Pairs Shield, finishing above two County Pairs to pick up 0.36 Green Point
• Peter qualified for the Pairs 'A' Final and came 13th of 22 Pairs in that

Well done to Linda and Janet for finishing 32nd out of 932 pairs nationally in the Stoke Mandeville Sims.

The achievement was even sweeter for Linda as it will have earned her promotion to Master!

Frank and Hilary also came in the top 10% of the National Field - well done to them!
