| Our Chairman... Linda Thomas |
 NEW: Linda's Funeral will take place on Thursday 13th February. The Club will be closed as a mark of respect.
It is with extreme regret that we announce the passing of Linda recently.
Linda was involved at Little Clacton and Frinton Clubs for many many years. She worked tirelessly to support and run the clubs, find partners, Direct and Score as well as make her own cakes and refreshments. She ran the club successfully for over 10 years which included running many socials for the club. Over the years she has supported various charity bridge events and has helped to raised thousands for the many good causes involved. She has also supported many club members to improve playing standards and to get involved with running the club.
She was also involved with Suffolk County bridge, attending Annual meetings and various county events over the years.
During lockdown Linda even organised social gatherings (strictly within the rules!) and helped restart the club thereafter.
Linda also loved her gardening.
She will be sadly missed. Our thoughts go to her family and in particular her daughter Sue who looked after her.

At the SGM the members:
Voted Peter Bushby as the New Club Chairman. With a new Treasurer, Jan Turner. And a new Secretary, Kath Wollard. Martin Scarfe will continue as Director/Scorer and continue as website host. Phil Dolni will continue as Vice Chairman and coordinate Pairings each week. Yvonne Key will continue as a Member on the Committee.
Pauline and Penny will act as Refreshment Coordinators. Tom will be Boards Coordinator

Sad News
We heard the sad news that Peter Duthie passed away recently. Peter had been a member of over 10 years and was well liked by all. His regular partner Pat and Others who played with him can testify to his softly spoken and likeable manner. Whilst we all teased his scottish roots from time to time, he always gave as good as he got. He regularly played at various bridge clubs across the area. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
New: the funeral will take place on 22/11 @9.30 at Weeley Crematorium
