Rugby Bridge Club will be hosting the Julia Mills Trophy event on Sunday 13th October, 2024. Full details in the Julia Mills flier October 2024

As part of the EBU's festival of bridge we held an OPEN DAY on Friday 6th September.

We welcomed lots of visitors to the club, who enjoyed playing minibridge. Several of them signed up to join the beginners class starting on Monday 16th September.

We also raised money for Cancer Research UK. Thanks to everyone for making the day a success.

Entries for the Coventry Pairs League is now closed

We now have 30 pairs entered so will be expanding to 4 divisions of 8+8+8+6. We welcome a number of new pairs and returning pairs who will be slotted into various divisions based on spaces and their playing strength.  The main change is that the old Division 3 will be split into two, with the top half of the old Division 3, a couple of new pairs and those relegated from Division 2 making up the new Division 3. The bottom half and some new pairs make up the new Division 4.

It is with sadness that we report that Ron Birch, after a long illness, passed away peacefully at Myton Hospice on the evening of Saturday August 31st.

Ron was a dedicated member of the club for a number of years, serving both on the committee and as secretary of the Coventry Bridge League.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife, Lin.

Entries are now open for the Coventry Bridge Leagues: More details in On-line (RealBridge) league flier and Face-to-face league flier.

Each league's games takes place once per month on a Monday evening: Face-to-face league on the 1st or 2nd Monday of the month; On-line league typically on the 4th Monday. The competitions start in September/October and run through until the spring 2025.

We want to make payments and deductions as easy as possible, allowing us to concentrate on playing bridge. Whether you are playing in person, or online, your payment for the session will be handled electronically. C&NWBC uses BridgeWebs to record participation in games of bridge, which then results in deductions from your C&NWBC account balance.

The preferred method is via electronic advance payment, either an ad hoc bank transfer or a regular standing order to the bridge club account. Alternative methods of payment can be arranged with the Treasurer if necessary.

A single payment account can be used for a couple’s play at the club.
