Coventry Pairs League |
The Coventry Pairs League is organised with our county association, Warwickshire County Bridge Association.
The Coventry Pairs League runs on the fourth Thursday of the month across two five-month series from September to January and then February to June, with each pair playing every other pair in the division twice. It is IMP (teams) scoring, with each individual match converted into a Victory Points scale of 20-0.
Between each series, the bottom two pairs are relegated and the top two pairs are promoted within the divisional structure.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of all divisions.
The Event page now includes the results and previous series winners.
If you are interested in entering or being a substitute, then please email Graham Cope

Three Spires Shield |
A light-hearted teams evening with a cooked supper, running from September to April inclusive, and staged (usually) on the fourth Sunday of the month. There is a random draw for team-mates, with the proviso that no two pairs can be drawn together as team-mates more than once. Scoring is done via a hybrid method involving ranking points and victory points, and the final ranking is calculated on the basis of each pair’s best 5 scores. The supper is considered an integral part of the event, and players are requested to attend this part of the evening.
2024/5 competition - Entries are now open for teams to play in the Three Spires Trophy.
Debbie Page has kindly offered to organise the catering this year (with assistance from Anne Elvidge).
Although the meal is considered to be part of the event, members who wish to play and not partake of
the meal are also welcomed. Players should arrive for the meal by 4.50pm, and play will start at 6pm.
The entry list will be on the noticeboard at the club, but if you will not be visiting the club please let Ann
or Debbie know that you wish to play

Pete Morris Trophy |
The Pete Morris Trophy is awarded to the winner of the pro-am competition usually held in early Autumn.
This is a pairs competition where one of the players is a relative newcomer to the game of bridge, and their partner is a more experienced player.
The Trophy is named after a club member who passed away in early 2020, having won the trophy at his last visit to the bridge table.
The Trophy was won in September 2024 by Diana Satturley, supported by her partner Phil Pink.
