The club is running a series of lessons on Thursday Mornings focusing entirely on Declarer Play.  The sessions will start at 10:30am and run until approximately 1:00pm.  
The lessons will be delivered by Chris Harris and are aimed at improving the standard of all players whatever their ability, covering the very basic through to advanced concepts.
The cost will be on a Pay as You Attend basis.  Members £3.00 (or Session Voucher), Guests £5.00.

We have booked The School House at Weeford (WS14 0PW) for a Club Christmas lunch on Wednesday 11th December.
The cost is £28.00 for two courses or £35.00 for three courses (including 10% gratuity) plus tea/coffee £3.00.
All Members are welcome.

We are starting a new weekly session for absolute beginners on Friday 25th October. No previous experience is required.

This session will give people a basic knowledge of Bridge before we start our next Beginner’s Course.  (Dates of our next Beginners Course yet to be decided).

The session will run 7.00pm – 10.00pm in parallel with the Assisted Bridge Session every Friday Evening,  Cost for the session is £4.00.

Assisted Play sessions continue to be run every Tuesday and Friday evening.  Session start time is 7.00pm

These sessions are open to all and are a great opportunity to meet and integrate with our new members.

Once a month on each evening there will be a short lesson starting at 6.45pm before the start of play.  The lessons delivered at the Friday session will be aimed at the beginner level with the Tuesday input aimed at the next level. Many of our existing memebers may find these sessions useful as a refresher to previously learned subjects.

All members are welcome and may attend the lesson only if they wish.

Your committee has decided to run three competitions during 2024.

The SCBC Masterpoint Cup

This is an annual competition and all competitive sessions count. The winners are simply those with the most Masterpoints won. Results will be stratified based on NGS Grade as at 1 January 2024.

Conditions of Contest for SCBC Competitions 2024

We are pleased to announce that the new Monday Afternoon session is now ‘Hosted’, so if you want to play but do not have a partner, no problem  Just turn up and you will be guaranteed a game.
Thank you to all those who have supported the session so far. Please stick with it and we are sure that numbers will steadily increase.  As with all new sessions, experience has shown that they often take a little time to get going.

Start time will be 1.00pm.  Please arrive by 12.50pm at the latest.

Please note that this is a new additional session and does NOT replace the Monday Evening Session, which will continue as normal.

The following sessions are now usually hosted so any Member can turn up without a partner and be sure of a game.  Please arrive early if you do not have a partner.

No Partner Required for Members at any Hosted Session

Sutton Coldfield U3A Relaxed Playing Session every Tuesday Afternoon.

Please arrive by 12.50pm for a 1.00pm start.

The is a U3A session at which SCBC members are also welcome to play.

Beginners are welcome provided they can play the game. We will try to arrange partners for anyone turning up on their own but this cannot be guaranteed.

Normal £3.00 table money for all U3A and SCBC Members.

The club is now running a fortnightly 'Hand Review/Discussion' session between 7pm - 9pm to which all members are welcome. Please see Calendar for session dates. Table Money of £2.00 will apply.

Difficult hands played during the previous week will be reviewed, focusing predominently on those played on Wednesday Night.

The session will involve playing hands and then discussing important aspects of bidding and play that arise.

Participants may also nominate hands for discussion.

Please ensure you arrive at the club by 6:55pm at the very latest.If you will be arriving later than this please ensure your partner arrives promptly before 7:00 and informs the TD of your late arrival.  If you are running late please contact the club 07749 410362
