In the post Covid era, some people get quite nervous and distressed when they hear other people coughing. 

For this reason, we respectfully ask you to please wear a mask (over mouth and  nose) if you have a cold or cough

All players should use the hand sanitisers provided in the coffee dock and refrain from holding cards close to their mouth/face

After serving on the committee for several years, Kay O’Kelly has resigned as hon treasurer and Jennefer Kelly is taking over this role.  Huge thanks to Kay for all her work over the years

WELL DONE TO BOTH STBC TEAMS, SENIORS AND INTER A, WHO FINISHED 2ND AND 4TH RESPECTIVELY, IN THE MASSEY BROS LEAGUE 2023/24

The club operates a joker system so that members are guaranteed a game. Please come early if you are seeking a partner.  Note - there is no joker on competition nights

Members are asked to volunteer to act as joker for just ONE NIGHT in the year – we have more than 70 members, so no-one should have to do more than one night each year

Ann Monaghan is managing the joker roster.  We appreciate that not everyone is in a position to volunteer but if you are, please give your name to Ann and she will agree a date with you

The joker should arrive at the club in good time, by 7.15 at the latest, and should wait until everyone else is paired before agreeing to play herself/himself.  If all others are fixed up, the joker must go home!

The STBC Whatsapp group is another facility for members to arrange partners.  It is also used to pass on messages from the president and committee

You may post your name to seek a partner but any further communication should be done privately.  If you wish to respond, please do so by text or phone to the person involved

Please bear in mind that every message posted is being received by at least 40 other people

The group is to be used solely for bridge related matters, e.g. notices from president/committee, results, partner wanted.  Please do not post jokes or replies to other individual messages.
