Seminar 1 8th November 2022

Brent's first seminar took place at the Cedars Inn, Barnstaple.
Over 30 Devon Bridge players attended the event.
Brent presented two short seminars either side of lunch.
The day finished with 12 hands of Bridge designed to get everyone practising their new know-how.
Many thanks to Brent for an excellent presentation.

Seminar 2 8th April 2023
To Bid or not to Bid... that is the question.
Stop thinking points, start counting fits.
The second seminar took place in one of the meeting rooms at the Barnstaple Library.
As a large proportion of Bridge hands involve a competitive auction, this was the focus of this seminar.
Brent introduced some new “bidding rules” to help players compete sensibly and effectively in competitive auctions.
Seminar 3 10th October 2023
Who's the Boss? A guide to planning your play in a suit contract.
Planning the play in a suit contract doesn't have to be a complex matter.
The third seminar took place in one of the meeting rooms at the Barnstaple Library.
Using the 'Boss Hand' principle, Brent showed us how to easily spot the (few) cards that will make or break the hand.
Seminar 4 26th March 2024
Scared of No Trumps?

The aim of this seminar was to banish your fear of playing in No Trumps and included top tips on planning the play the play without a trump suit.
Seminar 45 15th October 2025
Enough points for a slam?
It is said that you need 33 points for a slam, but is that true? Statistically, your partnership will get 33 points just once in every 288 hands. Yet one hand in every 28 can make 12 tricks. So, waiting for 33 points means you will be missing out on 90% of possible slams! The aim of this seminar was to show you how you can do better!
