This past winter I was appointed to complete a term as a member-at-large on the board. The experience has provided insight about the hard work and dedication it takes to keep our bridge club open and providing a space where people can enjoy the game and the company of like-minded people. As a newer bridge player and retired marketing manager, I offer a slightly different perspective on issues. I have found I like working alongside this group of enthusiastic individuals and want to continue for a full term.

I'm excited about the opportunity to join the board of the Miami Valley Bridge Association. Although I've only recently started playing, I've quickly grown to appreciate the unique challenges of the game, particularly the way it fosters communication with partners through the strategic limitations of bidding. I believe that bridge has a lot to offer, especially to players in my age group, who may not be aware of its depth and social appeal. I’d like to explore ways to expand our online presence, as I feel that greater exposure could help attract more players and foster a more diverse and dynamic community at the Miami Valley Bridge Association.
