A two session Green Pointed Matchpoint Pairs event will be held on Sunday 13th October 2024 starting at 11am on BBO.
● Entry Fee £24 per pair
● Prizes to 1st & 2nd overall and the pair, NGS 10 and below, finishing highest. No pair can win more than one prize.
● Green points to County Scale for the top half of the field.
● Permissible Systems and Conventions: Level 4
● General Conditions: Open to any EBU member. Entry limited to 36 pairs.

The final fourth round of the Northern Bridge League was played on Sat 19th Oct 2024 on RealBridge.
In the A division, Lancashire were 2nd of 4 teams. (S Woodcock/M Fay, M Farr/M Nicholson, J Brearley/A Lum, B Irlam/P Hepworth).S Woodcock/M Fay were 2nd in the XImps.
In the B division Lancashire were 4th of 8 teams (J Morrell/C Henderson, J & A Wilkins, P Richmond/J Dearing, S Bentley/M Blake).
In the C Division, Lancashire were 2nd of 6 teams (B Perry/S Fanning, P Meadowcroft/Judy Brearley, B Apfel/G Beattie, D Akhurst/M Rushworth). B Apfel/G Beattie were 2nd on XImps.
In the final tables, the A team was 3rd, the B team was 6th, the C team was 4th of the respective divisions.

Congratulations to Jeff Smith who has been awarded a prestigious Dimmie Fleming award by the EBU, in recognition of his outstanding service to bridge in Lancashire over many years. He will receive his award from the EBU's Deputy Chief Tournament Director, Jonathan Lillycrop, at the LCBA Congress on the weekend of 16/17 November.

| Lancashire Congress 16-17 November 2024 |
The Lancashire Congress took place over the weekend 16-17 November 2024 at the Barton Hall Manor Hotel, Preston. There were 36 pairs on Saturday and 16 teams on Sunday. The Pairs was won by Richard Davies/Stuart Scholes, with Jeff Smith/Jackie Pye and Nick & Sue Woodcock equal second. The Teams was won by John & Judy Brearley, B Loveridge, Nick Sutcliffe. Second was Jeff Smith/Jackie Pye, Rhona Goldenfield/Kath Nelson. The event was well managed by Oliver Cowan and Jonathan Lilleycroft. See Results section for full results.
