Here's what's happening the next few weeks:

Monday and Friday our games are at 10:30 in Plano - with Monday 11/25 being a Club Championship bonus point game.  Saturday's game is at 1pm at our Dallas location.  Thursday we are closed for Thanksgiving

December 2nd - December 8th is Metroplex STaC week.  Come to any game at Friendly (including the Sunday Unit game) and earn SILVER points (the STaC games will be $11/per person instead of the usual $10)

GOLD for GOOD

Hurricane season may be behind us, and the headlines may have shifted, but the hardships remain for countless communities, including the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
Destroyed roads and bridges make everyday tasks, like getting groceries, a struggle. In some areas, clean drinking water is still scarce, and many families remain in temporary housing, waiting for their homes to be rebuilt.
But together, our community of bridge players can help.
By participating in the Gold for Good event, your $30 registration fees goes directly to supporting these hard-hit neighborhoods. As our thanks, you’ll be entered into a competition for gold points. 

Each week is a separate event. Consider playing in both!

Why You Should Join:

Help Where It’s Needed Most: Working in conjunction, the ACBL and the ACBL Charity Foundation will support World Central Kitchen and Direct Relief. 100% of your $30 registration fee – one each week you participate – will be donated to the cause (The ACBL will cover any credit card fees.) Feel even more generous? You will be able to make additional donations – coming soon!

Go for Gold Points in All Morning and Afternoon Session Pair Games: Play in at least two games and be part of a larger event scored like a Side Series at a regional. (Only one game’s scores will be included each day; it will be the highest score.) The top player earns 20 gold points, and the top 25% of each pool (further explained in the FAQ) will also receive gold points.

There are two separate weeks of Gold for Good, each six days long. That’s two chances to win! To qualify, you need to play in at least two sessions (you can play in as many as six).

Any face-to-face pair game in a morning or afternoon session during the series dates counts, even special games. At least one game must be a face-to-face game. Only one face-to-face play per day will count. Games from Virtual Clubs and the ACBL Clubhouse will be averaged and considered as one result. Click on Gold for Good to register.

Friday 12/13 is our Annual Holiday Party - Join us for bridge and a meal.  Register now before the room fills up.
 

Thursday 10/31 we celebrated Halloween - and we had some that dressed up, but all had fun.

Reservations help us plan, but they are not required.  Make a reservation by going to the "Monthly Calendar/Make Reservation" screen and hover over date you want to make reservation. Press "Reservation Required".  Enter your name, OR email, OR ACBL # and press CHECK. (if you just press enter, you will need to enter your name, or email, or acbl # again and press CHECK).  A prompt should appear for you to enter your partner's name, and direction preference. Then press ADD RESERVATION  If it says "Member not Found" after pressing Check we will need to add you to the database (or determine if we have you with your name spelled differently), so contact us at vjremmers@gmail.com.  If you want to make a reservation for a game in the next month, click on the right arrow in the upper right corner of the calendar to move to the next month.  Note - if you have achieved Life Master and now have a letter as the first character of your ACBL #, you need to enter you ACBL # with the letter in the first digit. (1=J, 2=K, 3=L, 4=M, 5=N, 6=O, 7=P, 8=Q, 9=R)

Jay, Valarie, & Mike welcome you to Friendly Bridge Club.  Monday, Thursday & Friday games are located in the fellowship hall of Disciples Christian Church, 2001 Independence Parkway, Plano TX at 10:30 am.  Our Saturday game is at 1pm at King of Glory Lutheran Church - 6411 LBJ Freeway, Dallas.  We have a team game on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in our Dallas location.  Whether novice, expert, or somewhere in between, you'll find a stimulating, enjoyable game of bridge in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere here at the Friendly Bridge Club. We always have an open game, and when attendance warrants,  we also offer a 499 or 199 game.  (To keep the game safe for all,  PLEASE stay home if you are not feeling well).
