The Delhi State Bridge Championship 2024 will be held at Delhi Bridge Association (DBA) Building as per the following schedule:

Open IMP Pairs :

16th June 2024, Sunday

10.00 AM      Elimination Round

02.30 PM      Pairs Final

Team of Four :

22nd June 2024, Saturday

Note: The format will depend on no. of teams participating. In case it is more than 8, It will be played as a Swiss league comprising of min 8 rounds of 8 boards with WBF’s Continuous 20-0 scale, and the top 4 teams will qualify for Semi-finals.

Or

In case of no. of team are less than or equal to 8, we will have an all play all format. The no. of boards per round will be decided based on the no. of rounds and not exceeding max 64 Boards for the day. The TOP 2 teams will qualify directly for Finals.

Format to be followed in the Open / Women / Mixed IMP Pair events:

  1. The elim. round in OPEN IMP PAIRS will be held only if there are more than 28 Pairs participating. Depending on the number of participating pairs, around 22 to 24 boards will be played with Scrambled Mitchell movement. The top 12 pairs will qualify for the FINAL. The FINAL will be of 33 boards (each pair will play 3 boards against all the other 11 Pairs) played with Howell movement.
  2. In case of 28 or less no. of Pairs, there will be no elimination round and an all-play-all format will be followed and played in 2-sessions with 2 boards per round.
  3. The quota of Delhi State for representing in the IMP Pairs event in Inter State Championships will be 6 Pairs, as informed by BFI.
  4. The Mixed & Women IMP Pairs is just part of the Delhi State and nothing to do with Inter State Championship.

Entry Fee – Team event - Rs. 300 per player (Max 6 Member Team)

                   Pair Events - Rs. 600 per Pair.

The winner & runner-up of the Team of Four event of the Delhi State Bridge Championship 2024 will represent Delhi State in the All India Shree Cement National Inter State Team Championship (a Ranking Point event of BFI) to be held under the aegis of the Bridge Federation of India from 28th to 31st August 2024 at Gasper Dias Tennis Club, Panjim, Goa. The TOP 6 pairs will represent Delhi State in the Agarwala IMP Pairs Championship of Inter State.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN DELHI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP:

  1. All participants interested to play in any of the above events should have the Delhi State Master Point Registration of BFI, which is as D0000xxx or with BFI ID as 110xxx. Players of other state or those not registered with Delhi State BFI Regt. No. can not participate in the tournament.

  1. All the participants should have paid their annual registration fee of Rs. 200 to DBA. Those who have not paid their annual dues are not eligible to participate. However, they can pay the annual fee on the day of the game.

21st BFAME CHAMPIONSHIPS – ONLINE ON REALBRIDGE

Following the World Bridge Federation’s (WBF) decision to stage this year’s (2021) World Team Championship for the Bermuda Bowl (Open Team event), Venice Cup (Women Team event), D’Orsi Trophy (Seniors Team event) and Wuhan Cup (Mixed Teams event) from 27th March 2022 to 9th April 2022 at Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy,, hence accordingly, BFAME shall organize a qualification round (21st BFAME Championships 2021 for the Zone 4 representatives in the various categories).

Due to the pandemic, this event will not be hosted by any individual National Bridge Organization (NBO) of the zone as done in the past, but instead will be managed by a organizing committee from the BFAME Council. As other zones across are doing their selection for World Team Championship online, hence BFAME will also follow the same.

TOURNAMENT DATES:

  • 8th Dec 2021 (Wednesday) to 14th Dec 2021 (Tuesday) – to be organized by BFAME.

ONLINE DELHI STATE BRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIP 2021

The Delhi State Championship will be played online on RealBridge platform. The tournament details are as follows:

TEAM OF FOUR EVENT: Sat, 7Th Aug 2021 & Sun, 8Th Aug 2021

Participating Teams: The following 10 Teams are participating in the Championship.

The TOP 4 teams will qualify for a SUPER- LEAGUE. The super league will be of 3 rounds of 12 boards each. Both the days the game will start at 1000 Hrs. The schedule will be:

1000 Hrs onwards: There are 28 pairs participating and the format will be an all-play-all 2 boards against each pair. The scoring will be Cross-IMPs converted to IMPs. The TOP 6 pairs will qualify for the IMP Pairs event of Inter State Championship.

Entry Fee for State Championship: The event will be conducted by “Bridge From Home” team. The entry fee for the events will be:

Team of Four – Rs. 1000 per Team; Pairs – Rs. 350 per Pair

It may please be noted that all players registered with the Master Point Registration No. of Delhi State under Bridge Fed. of India have to pay their annual Master Point fee of Rs. 200.

We have already received the notice from BFI on the above subject and have to deposit money to BFI by 31st July 2024. Hence all players are kindly requested to pay their annual charges of Rs. 200 per player to one of the following:

  1. Sudhir Aggarwal - Personally at DBA giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  2. Daleep Mutreja – Personally at DBA or you may transfer online thru PayTM on his number 9810278435 giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  3. TC Pant – Personally at DBA giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  4. Amarjit - Personally at DBA or Vasant Vihar giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  5. Asha Sharma - Personally at DBA or Vasant Vihar giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  6. Pawan – the caretaker of DBA - giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.
  7. We are also trying to have the option of receiving the fee online through the web site of Delhi Bridge Association. Once it is ready, we will inform you (see below). Till then, you can pay to any one out of the 6 names given above.

Delhi State Bridge Championship 2019 - Team of Four Event was held on 6th & 7th July 2019 at Delhi Bridge Association premises.

12 teams participated in the Team of Four Event. After 8 rounds of 8 Boards each, top four teams Delhi Blue, Kosmos, Constellation and Arun Jain qualified for the Semifinal. For Swiss League results click here.

The FINAL will be of 33 boards (each pair will play 3 boards against all the other 11 Pairs) played with Howell movement.
  2. In case of 30 or less no. of Pairs, there will be no elimination round and the tournament committee would decide the exact format before start of the tournament, depending on the no. of entries received. Preferably an all-play-all format will be followed and the tournament will be played in 2- sessions with 2 boards per round.
  3. The quota of Delhi State for representing in the IMP Pairs event in Inter State Championships will be between 3-6 Pairs, depending on the rule formulated by the organizing committee / BFI.

Delhi State Bridge Championship 2018 - Team of Four Event was held on 30th June and 1st July 2018 at Delhi Bridge Association premises.

9 teams participated in the Team of Four Event. After 6 rounds of 10 Boards each, top four teams Nuts & Bolts, Kosmos, Prakash Bhandari and Target qualified for the Semifinal. For Swiss League results click here.

Congratulations to Team KOSMOS as they will be representing Delhi in Interstate Championship which will be held from 5th to 9th September 2018 at Mysore.

Alexander Club Meerut Bridge Championship

8th Alexander Club Bridge Championship was organised by Alexander Athletics Club, Meerut and Meerut Bridge Association on 8th and 9th April 2018.

11 teams participated in the tournament. After 6 rounds of 10 Boards each, top four teams Constellation, Prakash Bhandari, Kosmos and Alexander club qualified for Super League Final.

Super League final was played over 3 rounds of 14 Boards each. Team Kosmos (T C Pant - captain, Daleep Mutreja, Ashok Girdhar and Amrish Wadera) won the trophy.
