 Bridge for Beginners 2024/25 |
This course is intended for those with little or no experience of the game and will equip you to play at a social/competitive level.
The next course will start on October 1st and run on Tuesday afternoons from 14:30 to 16:30 in The Ark in Turners Hill. The first session will be a free "taster" with the official term to start the following week.

| Bridge for Improvers |
We will be running a series of six monthly Improvers sessions over the winter of 2024-25, starting in October. They will be face-to-face at GIBC on Tuesday evenings, taking advantage of the new wide-screen TV for the topic presentation before moving on to play of example hands.
The dates and provisional topics are :-
8th October. Rebids with a strong hand
5th November. Overcalling SQOT
3rd December. Suit Preference Signals
7th January. The Forcing Defence
4th February. The Finesse
11th March. Leading against Suit Contracts
To avoid bothering everybody with this stuff we will compile a circulation list of members who might be interested. If you are interested, please let me know and I will put you on it!
Start time will be 19.15 and we will charge £2 table money to cover the cost of booking the restaurant. You can just turn up on the night. You will not need a partner or to let us know you are coming.
