JOHN PERKS PAIRS |
Our premier pairs competition was played online on Sunday 5 January. A good turnout of 16 pairs played an all-play-all movement and the winners, who lead throughout the day, were Bill Thomson and Mike O'Neill with 59.7%. A big congratulations to them. Runners up with 58.3% were Mick Robson and Jo Bryant, with John Golding and Heather Holder-Powell third with 56.4%. These three pairs qualify to represent Cornwall in the Corwen Trophy - the two day national final again online at the end of May.

AUTUMN TEAMS |
An encouraging 11 teams converged from east and west of the county to play in a multiple teams event at Carnon Downs on Sunday 17 November. Winners were Jo Bryant (Mick Robson, Suzanne Warring, Neil Harris) with +80 IMPs, comfortably ahead of Graham Ramsey (Peter Scott, Heather Holder-Powell, John Golding) with +58 IMPs. In third place was Rob Mabley (Rob Jones, Bill Thomson, Mike O'Neill) with +42 IMPs.
Next event will be our premier pairs event of the season - the John Perks Pairs - which will be played online on RealBridge on Sunday 5 January 2025. Green points are available in this event, with the three leading pairs qualifying to represent Cornwall in the National final, the Corwen Trophy. Entry is FREE to Chris Bickerdike.

Introduction |

There are currently nine bridge clubs in Cornwall that are affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU). They meet either online or face-to-face or both on a variety of weekday evenings.
