It is that time of year again. Please note that the annual membership for 2025 is £10.00 which became due on 1st February, 2025.
This currently entitles you to represent the club in competition and to reduced table money of £5.00.
Visitors table money is £6.00 , All membership contributions supports the club and there is a online method of payment which is to the Club Business Account.
when paying online please make out to - Canterbury Bridge Club, sort Code 40-16-11, 42685876 and use your name in the reference field as well as notifying the Treasurer of the payment.

| Annual General Meeting |
Dear Members
Please note the AGM and presentations of the club trophies to the respective winners in 2024, will be held prior to the start of play on the 28th February 2025 at St Dunstans Church Hall.
Start time for the AGM will be 18-40 with the intention to complete by 19-00. The Agenda can be accessed by clicking on the link in this news item. Please e-mail the Secretary if any is identified as requiring formally adding to the agenda. The Draft minutes for the 2024 AGM can be downloaded from the Information Menu as a sub menu item as a pdf document.
Nominations for Officers and Committee members please to the Club Secretary (by e-mail prior to the AGM). The Treasurer Louise Preston after many number of years of service to the Club is standing down from the committee, and Helen Carlotti has been nominated from within the Committee. The other officers and committee members are willing to serve another year term in their roles, but other nominations and volunteers would be very welcome. Please note no Officer of the club can hold more than one office. Current Officers are Steve Bispham - Chairman, David Cock - Secretary, Treasurer - Louise Preston (stepping down), Committee members are Tournament Director - Malcolm Lewis, ordinary members - Jan Salvage (key holder), Nicky Adamson and Helen Carlotti (Co-opted in 2024 and stepping down as ordinary member as nominated be Treasurer). The Dealer is not required to be a committee member but is currently combined with the secretary role along with website administration.

| General Club Details |
We are a friendly EBU affiliated Bridge club that currently meets and starts play at 7pm on Friday evenings in the St Dunstan's Church Hall, 80 London Road, Canterbury CT2 8LS (opens google map link). Please aim to be present by 6-55pm latest for prompt start.
We use computer pre-dealt boards and Bridgewebs scoring system. Details of the hands are shown with the results on this website, usually later the same evening.
Tea/Coffee with some biscuits will be available from the kitchen.
Visiting pairs are always welcome, as are players of all standards of ability.
A small car park area is available on-site (up to @12 cars) and in local streets - (some streets without charge) and is quite close to Canterbury West Train station and its car park.

| 'Partner Finder' or Host |
We are currently unable to routinely offer a Host or Partnering service.
The Club operates a members only WhatsApp partner group. If the secretary has enough notice (min 72 hours) he may be able to see if a partner can be found, on request, for a non-member of the WhatsApp group as a one-off request. (it is expected for new members to join the WhatsApp group for future requests).
