County Nine-High Pairs on 9 April 2025 |
This is a new competition for Bedfordshire primary members with an NGS grade of Nine or lower as registered on 1 Jan 25. It will take place on Wednesday 9 April 2025 at Bedford Bridge Club starting at 2:30pm. The entry fee is £3 per person.
The winners will receive the Marsh Trophy, and the leading two pairs will be invited to represent Bedfordshire in the Nine-High Corwen Trophy on 31 May 2025 on RealBridge or BBO.

Welcome to Bridge in Bedfordshire & Milton Keynes |
Our objective is to promote the playing and teaching of Duplicate Bridge in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, and encourage participation in inter-club, inter-county and national competitions. We have over 400 members and 4 affiliated clubs. We run a number of competitions throughout the year, with the main focus being on teams events as local clubs offer pairs events on most days of the week. We organise:
- An annual Championship Pairs competition, with qualification through clubs. The leading pairs qualify to represent Bedfordshire in the national Corwen Trophy.
- An annual Nine-High Pairs competition for for Bedfordshire primary members with an NGS grade Two – Nine inclusive as registered on 1 January. The leading pairs qualify to represent Bedfordshire in the national Nine-High Corwen Trophy
- A Teams of Four League of 10 teams in 2 divisions, with the leading teams competing in a knockout to become Championship Team and qualify to represent Bedfordshire in the national Pachabo Cup.
- An annual Interclub Teams of Eight event, the qualifier for the national Garden Cities competition.
- Participation of Bedfordshire Teams of Eight in all three divisions of the Eastern Counties League (ECL) and in the national Tollemache Cup.
We publish a Bulletin with news and articles three times a year (see "Bulletins" tab on left).
