Bridge EVERYWHERE!
  • Bridge Everywhere 10 Dice Box
  • Bridge Everywhere 2 Hive
  • Bridge Everywhere 3 Cornmarket
  • Bridge Everywhere 4 Commandery
  • Bridge Everywhere 6 Cathedral Square
  • Bridge Everywhere 7 Elgars
  • Bridge Everywhere 8 Dice Box
  • Bridge Everywhere 9 MS Cafe

On SATURDAY 7th September, we plan to have bridge games/activities going on all over Worcester City Centre from 10-30am to 4-30pm.

We already have a good number of people who are going to PLAY, or HELP with these activities.

We want to have people of all ages and all abilities at tables, in:

  • The Commandery (Café area)
  • Cathedral Square**
  • The Cornmarket**
  • Reindeer Court/Elgar's Restaurant
  • The Hive
  • The Dice Box (board games café)
  • M&S Café...
  • ...and we have a few other venue options ready to go if/when we have the numbers.

**Cornmarket + Cathedral Square subject to weather conditions!

The Hive and The Dice Box are mainly taken up with specific activities, but otherwise, you and three friends could book up with us to fill a table for an hour or two, and we would allocate you to one of the other venues.

We need:

  • More people to come forward, happy to PLAY BRIDGE (with a smile on your faces!) for a stretch - Let us know what times suit you! And if you have friends you'd like to play with, let us know your foursome.
  • People who would be happy to be enthusiastic volunteers at a location, answering questions if anyone shows an interest, taking names/numbers/email addresses or giving out a flyer.
  • A few more people prepared to have a go at our "Speed Bridge" event! This will be new and experimental - and lots of fun!  Final details will be released of this activity, in the Dice Box in the Shambles, but see this page for an outline.

This event is a CITY OF WORCESTER event - not any particular Bridge Club; and our aim is to get people starting to play, or re-starting after a 40-year break; we hope to see lots more new faces in the next few years at the various clubs that you play at!

There will be no charge for playing in these events, but you're welcome to add a donation to our JustGiving page if you have enjoyed yourselves!

Please contact Yvette (yvettewaide@hotmail.com) or Mike (mike1958v@mail.com) if you'd like to take part.
