Where to look for Bridge Breaks |
Why go on a Bridge Break or Holiday?
Well simply put, we all need a break from our daily life, so why not try a short vacation, where you know that you will have something in common with all the other guests. They all guarantee (we believe) that there will be someone to play with, without any pressure to play all the sessions that they have on offer.
As a single person or a couple, you will be playing Bridge with a group of similarly minded people, from a variety of backgrounds, from various parts of the country / world - a good chance to chat to them, especially over meals. Some put on extra activities for you to take part in or watch, in addition to the Bridge.
They will often be at a venue that perhaps you have never been to before, therefore giving you something different to do & see, whenever you do not play Bridge. You may even meet someone who becomes a partner for future mutually agreed Bridge Breaks or Holidays, as lots of people have done previously. Marriages have also come about this way!!
Although we cannot recommend any particular companies and their holidays, we can suggest the following for you to look into them for yourself. Click on the highlighted link & this takes you directly to their Web-Site. We have tried to list companies who go to multiple destinations. There are many more to choose from including sea cruises, river cruises or independent hotels - happy hunting.

Bridge Breaks 1 |
www.bridgewebs.com/stiveshotel - A number of our members enjoy a break at the St Ives Hotel, St Anne's-on-Sea near Blackpool. This is NOT an official Club sanctioned break. Most of our members who go, do so for the January Break, but a few go to the February Break. We direct you to go through the Bridgewebs results page, as this is where the proper details of when & how much are to be found (only sporadically updated). They are listing five different breaks, throughout the year. Do NOT use the hotel web-site, as it is well out of date for Bridge Breaks.
