Since we now play on Wednesdays and the previous club trophies for Tuesdays and Fridays can’t be located, it was decided to institute a new competition in memory of our dear friend Phil Young who sadly died in 2023. Phil enjoyed a whisky nightcap and the club will present an engraved glass to each year’s winners; the best overall duplicate pair. 

This year the competition was won by Terry McCarron and Paul Davies with runners up Geoff Tyson and John Winter. Competition will be fierce in 2024/5.

Winner of the best individual and best individual handicap was Paul Davies. Mind you, he is the scorer!

Top Masterpoint scorer was Terry McCarron and top slam maker was Harriet Dinwoodie, though there’s no record of how many she attempted!

The club depends on its members and Dave King was recognised for his continuing attendance commitment, well done.
