S&SCBA: Teams of Four Leagues 2024/25

Teams of Four are invited to enter the leagues held during the winter months, starting in September (we hope).

This season the League will be held on line on BBO, which is the most popular platform in our County.

All players have to be members of the S&SCBA, usually through being members of an affiliated club in the county. It is recommended that you have access to reserves for your team.

The entry fee of £30 per team is payable in advance, and final entries need to be with Paul Cutler by 24^th August. The fixture list will be sent out by 1^st Sept.

Matches should, if possible, be played on the 2^nd Thursday evening in the month, starting in September 2024 and should be confirmed between captains. This is a focus point. If an alternative date needs to be found, the options should be an alternative Thursday or a weekday evening - all within a month of the due date (before or after). If none of this is possible, then as a last resort daytime or weekend times can be agreed. Alternative dates should be arranged by team captains as soon as possible, advising the Captain (Paul) of the change of date. Matches will be of 20 boards -10 against each opposition pair.

If there are plenty of teams entering we will have two divisions, perhaps of six to eight teams in each division. So, please do encourage everyone you know to make up a team and join in.

Team captains can indicate a preference for 1^st or 2^nd division, but a 2^nd division will only be run if there are enough entries.
