Confined Novice & Intermediate B Social game of Bridge

Each of the four regions within South Munster held games of bridge confined to Novice & Intermediate B players.  There has been great feedback from these games and congratulations to all who participated and to the CDO's of each region and all who helped with the running of these events.

Kerry Region was held on Sunday November 3rd in the Castlerosse Hotel.

The feedback was very positive and we hope this will encourage members to play in other competitions.

Fermoy's 90th Anniversary Celebration

On Sunday September 8th, Fermoy Bridge Club, held their opening game of the 2024/2025 season.  This was auspicious as its their 90th year.  The club was started in 1934 by Dr Magnier (his niece and grand nephew are currently members).  It has been and is a very strong club.  It has 120 members and has produced many excellent players.  Hugh McGann played some of his early bridge as a member in Fermoy and we are very proud of him.  President Nora & her committee put on a great event on Sunday.  We started with a wine reception and there was a food truck outside the front door.  The building which the club own was in great order.  Many guests (members who have moved away) returned for the social event which ran from 5 to 7.  The competition began at 7pm and 22 tables played. It was a very successful event, the first of many this year.
