Railway Union Bridge Club Newsletter Winter 2024           

 

Arrangements for the Christmas Break

Monday Bridge will finish up with the Christmas Party on Monday 16th December. It will resume again in the New Year on Monday 6th January.

Thursday Bridge will finish up on 12th December and resume again on Thursday 9th January.

 

Club Teams Event

Start planning ahead - our Club Teams event takes place over two weeks in January - Monday 13th and Monday 20th January. Pre-registration is necessary. You can either register a team of 4 with Bernie Price or submit your name to Bernie and she will allocate you to a team.

 

Monday Evening Bridge

Bridge takes place every Monday evening (other than on bank holidays). Please be seated by 7.15 p.m., payment is by card. 

 

Thursday Morning Bridge

Thursday Morning Bridge takes place each week. Please be seated by 9.45 a.m., payment is by card. Visitors are welcome. Tea and coffee is available, but please bring your own mug.

Martin Cowley Cup Success

Congratulations to everyone who played in the Martin Cowley Cup, it was a closely fought competition with the lead fluctuating on several occasions during the last round. Many thanks to John Royds, our TD, for his meticulous planning of the event.

It was good to see two new winners, heartiest congratulations to Joan Casey and Paula Clancy. Here's the full list of winners:
