♠     Welcome to the launch of the 2024/25 League.     ♥ 

We are looking for teams to enter the 2024/25 Perthshire Bridge League.  Teams need at least 4 players as the games are set up for 2 pairs.  Teams can be up to 6 players as substitutions are allowed to accommodate holidays, illness etc. Players in a team can play with other team members in different matches.

If entries permit then we are looking to run at least 2 divisions.

Start date will be Wednesday 2nd October 2024.

Start Time: 19:00

Doors Open: 18:30

It would be helpful if any Team Captains wishing to participate in the League this coming season could complete the entry form below or email treasurer@perthbridgeclub.org with details.

We are also keen to hear from any single players or pairs who are not part of a team as we will try and put teams together in order that they can play in the league.

Congratulations to MUIRWARD on winning the League with only 1 loss (but with a bonus point) and only 1 dropped bonus point in the other 7 matches (that they won) - Quite an achievement.

If a Team wishes to postpone a tie then could they please not officially stand the opposing team down.

Initially it is sufficient to advise their opposing team of the situation, and to agree on an alternative date for their match. If the opposing team still wish to play then they should contact the Secretary as there could be scope for lining up alternative opposition on the night (if time permits). This not only avoids unnecessary disappointment but also helps to minimise fixture congestion towards the latter end of the season.

POSTPONEMENTS AND RE-ARRANGED MATCHES

Team Captains are reminded that any team requesting a postponement is perfectly entitled to do so (Subject to the agreement of the opposing team Captain) but must make every attempt to offer alternative dates with a view to getting the fixture played on a date suitable to both teams and as soon as is practical after the original fixture.
