With grateful thanks to Theo Todman, the vast bulk of the old original website is available once again as an Archive record. It includes a host of things, including the results back as far as Spring 2006, old statistical summaries, old news items, various guidance documents, plus some sample convention cards that were intended for use primarily by 'scratch' partnerships. Click on this panel to be redirected to the old website (opens in a new window).
This is the wireless scoring system now used by Mountnessing Bridge Club. The software is completely free, though the users are encouraged to share experiences. Originally, only one club was using it - the Chiselhurst Club in Kent - but it was 'picked up' by a couple of clubs in Essex, and its use has spread widely in that county. The system runs on a standard Windows laptop (XP or later), uses an ordinary domestic wireless router as the 'controller', and it can use any standard Android-based phone, 'phablet', or tablet computer as the desktop units. The hardware costs are therefore just a fraction of those for more established wireless scoring systems that use their own hardware.
