 Lerwick Bridge Club is a friendly club which meets every Monday evening at 7 o’clock to play duplicate bridge.
Venue
We meet in the Islesburgh Community Centre on King Harald Street.
There is a car park with disabled parking and there is street parking close by. The Islesburgh Centre is equipped with a lift. There is also a café for the early arrivals.
Competitions
The club is affiliated to the Scottish Bridge Union and caters for club, district, national as well as other special competitions. The season starts in September and goes through to early May.
Visitors and New Members
Visitors and New Members are always welcome. If you don’t have a partner, just turn up anyway. We will make sure that you get a game

| Salver December 2024 |
 The latest Drew Tulloch Salver battle was on Monday December 9th. Jenny Arthur and Margaret-Rose Simpson bought home the Salver in a closely fought match. Well done Jenny and Margaret-Rose. After handicap their score was 61%, well ahead of Stuart Hubbard and Kenny Johnson whose 58% gave them second place.

| Drew Tulloch Salver May 2024 |
Winning the Drew Tulloch Salver this Spring were Jenny Arthur and Christine Simpson. On a recount, Jenny and Christine scored 67%, well clear of Stuart Hubbard and Kenny Johnson who limped into second place with 50%. Well done Jenny and Christine!

| Sullum Voe Cup 2024 |
Ken Rae and Violet Tulloch have repeated their last year's triumph and have won the Sullom Voe Cup again in 2024. Well done Ken and Violet. They scored a combined 120.63 percent over the two sessions; an average of 60.3. But the scores could not have been closer. Mark and Ingrid Sandison came such a close second, requiring the calculations to be done to the second place of decimals. An honourable mention to Mark and Ingrid!

| Drew Tulloch Salver |
 We're delighted to launch the Drew Tulloch Salver.
Drew was a long time member of the club and a friend to us all.
The Salver, gifted to the Club by Violet Tulloch and crafted by Rae's Jewellery, will be awarded to the winner of our Handicap Pairs competitions; once in the Autumn and once in the Spring. Drew would be pleased, we hope, for the Salver to be part of our annual calendar. Thank you Drew and Violet.
The first winners on 19th December 2022 were Edith Beattie and Mark Sandison with a score of 60%

| Sullom Voe Cup |
 The Sullom Voe Cup is awarded annually for the pair who score the best over two consecutive sessions in February. In 2022 it was won by Violet Tulloch and Ken Rae with a score of 64% well ahead of Stuart Hubbard and Kristin Petursdottir with 56%. Well done Violet and Ken!

The Inter-county Trophy was won by Orkney again this year.
Well done Orkney.
We all had a great time in Kirkwall, thanks to everybody in Orkney who made our visit such a lovely one.
Shetland came 2nd in the pairs competition in a field of 24; well done Penelope and Rob

| Charity Pairs 2016 |
Lerwick Bridge Club holds an annual fund raiser for a local charity. For 2016 the chosen charity was Macmillan Nurses Shetland and a session was held on 20th April 2016 to raise funds. The winners of the trophy for 2016 were Ken & Violet. This year the club was able to give £250 to this local charity.
