The Common Game |
HHDBC has joined The Common Game!
What is The Common Game?
It's a grouping of ACBL-affiliated clubs that broadens the competition by playing the same hands across many clubs. Lots more statistics and analysis, too if you explore their website. If your friends elsewhere across the country are playing at the same day and time as you are, you can compare results!
So now, if you play at Heritage, afterward you can see your results on our own website, on the ACBL website that most of you are familiar with, or on The Common Game website.
Yes, The Common Game awards their own points to determine the best players across their member clubs, but you get no extra ACBL points for any of this.
If The Common Game has your email address on file they may now start sending you results emails. If you would like to receive those and you're not getting them, or if you ARE receiving them and you don't want them, send your own email to help@thecommongame.com with your ACBL number in the subject line, and tell them what you want them to do!
Any more questions, email or ask Club Manager Karen Sloan.

Keeping Score |
WARNING: According to ACBL laws, during a game at least one partner must keep a legible convention card with the proper score (not plus, minus or average, but the correct number.)
The club must enforce this rule because any time there is a computer issue the director will have to require scores to be recorded on paper on a pickup slip.
Those who don't comply will receive a zero score on any board that is not scored properly.
