Membership of the club for the duration of your degree is £20 (or £15 for 1 year). Members are exempt from table fee for the first academic year of their membership. Table money for members from second year onwards is £2 per session, but is capped at a maximum of £6 per year. Visitors pay £4 per session. Invoices will be sent out at the end of Lent term. Please get in touch if you have any concerns regarding finances.

From academic year 2024/25, CUBC is starting to subsidise participation in eligible EBU competitions and County-level competitions for members. Cover will be available for registration and travel, subject to conditions. Full subsidy policy

CUBC is hosting the EBED Simultaneous Pairs during the last week of Michaelmas Term (Thursday 05/12/2024). The same boards will be played across England and scores compared nationally. The pair that scores highest across the country will be rewarded £100 from EBED. Save the date!
