Welcome to CoCo's PV Bridge Club

WELCOME TO COCO’S DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB

We are a n​​​​​​on ACBL sanctioned duplicate club, operated by a volunteer committee, that plays Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays* upstairs in the San Lucas Restaurant on the corner of Lazaro Cardenas and Insurgentes (entrance is the side door facing the Guadalajara Pharmacy).  * Saturdays begin the first Saturday in January.

The 2024-2025 season will begin MONDAY, OCTOBER 21!!!!!  LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!!!   We look forward to a great new season and seeing you again soon.  Registration will close at 1:15 to ready the game for its start time at 1:30.  The cost per person is 150 pesos.  Please bring the correct change for you and your partner (300 pesos total).  Don’t forget to tip our waiters.

♠ ♥ ♦ ​​​​​​​♣ ​​​​​​​Puerto Vallarta Regional Tournament ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ 

 

This year’s Puerto Vallarta Regional was held at the Crystal Grand Conference Center and despite the air conditioning being set somewhere near 65F,  many of our fellow Cocos Bridge Club members came home with master points (more than shown here).  Attendance was slightly down from last year and next year’s location is still up in the air.  The Weston is now going all inclusive which caused this year’s change and hopefully we’ll know soon where next year’s tournament will be.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing in November of Silver Padachey, while traveling in Africa visiting family and friends with his wife, Sheila.  

Silver was a trailblazer moving from South Africa to lay down roots in Canada and then Puerto Vallarta.  Silver loved to travel and visit faraway places by car, plane, or cruise line.  He enjoyed new adventures and meeting new people.  He was known for his open and generous spirit and helping others which was exemplified at the bridge table.   Silver was a long time member of Coco’s Bridge Club.  He played with several different members over the years and he will be remembered by them as a good partner, friendly at the table, and a guy with a good sense of humor.

Silver embraced life to the fullest and will be remembered as someone who led a good life and made those around him better as well.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  Our sympathy goes out to his wife, Sheila, his family, and all those who knew and loved him.
