Interclub Red Point Event - Sunday 14 July |
Our Interclub Red Point Event on Sunday 14 July was a great success. Thanks to Dianne Nicol, President, and Maree Thorp, Secretary, Berwick Bridge Club, for organising their members to play bridge with us. It was very good to catch up with friends and acquaintances, and be introduced to new bridge players. Thanks to all the wonderful Knox Bridge Club members who brought plates of afternoon tea for a two-table spread of afternoon tea, terrific. Thanks to Barbara and Clare for their tireless efforts in the temporary kitchen arrangements. Thanks to the Knox members who came early to help set up, especially Brenton, Carl and Ethel, thanks to Bei for directing and thanks to Les and Sue for scoring the event. Knox Bridge Club won, but by only a small margin, Knox 2192 and Berwick 2123 so the difference was only 69. Thanks to the Berwick players for the challenging competition.
