Bridport Bridge Club
Welcome to Bridport Bridge Club where we play duplicate bridge at St Swithuns Church Hall on Wednesdays at 6:50 pm and on most Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:50 pm.
We also play online on Thursdays at 6:50 pm using the RealBridge platform. The club is affiliated to the EBU.
Refreshments are provided at St Swithuns.
New players are welcome and we offer beginners, returners and improvers lessons from time to time. Our NEW Tuesday sessions are designed for new players and returners that have had recent lessons and any others that would like more practice at playing club duplicate.

| Bridge Training |
A new beginners/returners course started on October 28th 2024 at Bradpole Village Hall on Mondays at 2 pm. Weekly lessons will run until December 16th and then monthly in 2025 and the fee will be £5 per session. For further details contact us via this website. The syllabus is shown in the left hand menu.
IMPROVERS
Occasional IMROVERS/INTERMEDIATES training will be held through the winter and the next class with Michael will be on Monday February 24th . The topic to be confirmed. This will be held at Bradpole at 11am.
SUPERVISED PLAY
The second of our series of 'supervised play' will be led by Rob at Bradpole Village Hall at 11am (till about 1pm) on Monday January 27th. The theme will be about 'Defence'. Please contact Martin or Rob to ensure a place if you would like to attend, otherwise just turn up.

| DCBA Frost Rose Bowl |
The county Frost Rose Bowl will be a Swiss Teams competition held on January 26th at 1 pm and will be on RealBridge.
Format: A minimum of 36 boards to be played over two sessions.
1.00pm – 7.00pm estimated, with approx. 30-minute break.
The event is licenced by the EBU at Level 4 Systems and restricted to EBU Members or equivalent.
Entry Fee: £20 per Team of Four (subsidised by your club)
Entry Details: Please contact Phil Dowell if you are interested as a Four, Pair or Single and he will make up teams.
Closing Date for Entries: Thursday, 23rd January 2025.

| Cafe Bridge comes to Bridport again |
Following a very successful introduction last year Cafe Bridge came again to Bridport this year. It was a great success and raised about £3500 for two local charities. The Prout Bridge Project will use our donation to provide crucial help for young people’s mental health, whilst West Dorset Wilding will use the money to support large-scale landscape recovery projects, promote regenerative agriculture and raise awareness about the benefits of wilding.
Look out for bridge coming to Bridport again next year on November 16, 2025
