Genevieve Devey
a great lover of the game of bridge and a very talented player. Gen won many trophies and competitions, was always up-to-date with bridge rules and generously kept us informed regarding them.
As a founder member of Holmpatrick Bridge Club, Gen was a great source of knowledge in setting up the club and getting it affiliated to CBAI.
Gen was also a long-standing member of Skerries Bridge Cluib. As a teacher of the game, she instilled in her pupils a great love of bridge.
During her bridge life Gen travelled to many competitions all over the country, and, in later years went abroad to Spain, staying there for the Winter months and enjoying lots of bridge.
May Gen rest in peace.

| May Wherity RIP |
Our members were greatly saddened by the news of May Wherity’s death on St Stephen’s Day. May was a member of Skerries Bridge club and then SABC for 45 years or so. She was club Treasurer for at least 35 of those years, she was excellent in that role and really enjoyed doing it. May was a great asset to our club throughout her time as a member, as treasurer and as a skilled player. She loved bridge and played competitively for many years winning multiple trophies. May was a very kind, gentle and private lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
