About Us |
Welcome to Settle Bridge Club, North Yorkshire, in the market town of Settle in the Yorkshire Dales.
We are a friendly club, and visitors and new members are always welcome. An Open Night is held on the first Tuesday of each month, when we will do our best to provide a visitor with a partner, particularly if we are contacted in advance.
Please contact us if you would like to visit or require more information.

When We Play |
Under normal circumstances duplicate bridge sessions are held online each Tuesday evening starting promptly at 7pm, and Thursday afternoon from 1.30 to 4.30 pm at St John's Methodist Church Hall, Church Street, Settle, which has full facilities for disabled access. We would request that players should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of each session.
If you would like to take part in these sessions please use the contact form on the "Contact Us" page. Members may also use the normal "Find a Partner" service if assistance is required in finding a partner for either session.
Look on the Information page to see how to find us.

Congratulations! |
In early December 2024 46 members of Settle Bridge Club took part in an online charity Sim Pairs competition organised by the Surrey County Bridge Association.
Settle Bridge Club members Judith Biles and Mark Stead achieved the highest score of all the 469 competing pairs, and have been awarded the Dorin Salver in recognition of their achievement.
Congratulations Judith and Mark!

Find a Partner |
If you need a partner for an upcoming session please use the "Find a Partner" facility in the Membership/Members Area. A message will then be sent to all club members with registered email addresses to inform them that you need a partner for that specific session. You may also like to contact the Secretary by telephone or via our Contact Form to check whether other members without registered email addresses are also looking for a partner.
If members have already indicated that they require a partner for a specific session this is indicated on the Calendar by (Partner?) against the date of a session. If you click on the link you will be asked to login to the Members Area where the names of members requiring a partner will be displayed.
After clicking on the member's name you will be presented with the member's email address. It is recommended that you copy the address to use in your usual email programme in order to make contact. Please note the advice on the email to NOT simply reply to the address from which the email was sent, as replies will not reach anyone. If you prefer, you are welcome to contact the member directly by telephone (numbers are on the Members list distributed to all members).
If you have requested a partner, either on this site or directly to the Secretary, and have subsequently made satisfactory arrangements, or decided not to attend the session, please delete your "Partner Request" entry as soon as possible. Many thanks!
