I have had many requests for Supervised Bridge to return, so I aim to start them again from Thursday 5th March.

They will be held from 10am until 12 noon at the Rosebud Bowling Club.

The cost will be $10 per person and if you are brave enough to stay for our afternoon session, there will be no further charge.

Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested in our informal Supervised Sessions.

We have had a further callout from Jeremy Maxwell at The Southern Peninsula Community Centre, to help to restock their dwindling Pantry Shelves. 

This month, they are calling out for Toilet Paper, Disposable Razors, Men's and Women's Deodorant, Regular Sanitary Pads, 1 Litre Long LIfe Milk and Shampoo and Conditioner.

I am asking all of our generous Bridge Players, to once again add an occassional extra item to your shopping  to donate to this worthwhile cause.

One of the many ways we help is to ease that financial burden with groceries and material aid, allowing people's limited dollars to stretch a little further.

Any small Contribution from you , will help someone in need.

There will be a collection point at each of our Bridge Sites, for your generous donations.

Your continued support is very much appreciated, by all.

The Rye Dromana Bridge Club offers the best of bridge on the Southern Peninsula.

Sessions are held 3 days a week.

Mondays  - Duplicate - Percy Cerutty Oval, PORTSEA.  Arrive by 9.15am for a 9.30am start 

Tuesdays - Duplicate - Salvation Army Hall, Melaleuca Avenue, Capel Sound. Arrive by 12.45pm for a 1.00pm start

 Thursday - Duplicate - Rosebud Beach Community Bowls Club, 952 Point Nepean Rd, Rosebud.  Arrive by 12.45pm for a 1.00pm start

Red points are awarded on the first Thursday of each Month.

Table Fees (2026)

Member of Rye - Dromana Bridge Club  $12.00 .       Visitors   $15.00. 

Please Note: You must be either a Full Member of the Rye Dromana Bridge Club ($70per year) or an associate Member ($25) as of 1st April 2026 to qualify for the $12 table fee.

From THURSDAY 11th September, it will be necessary for you to have an arranged partner, to guarantee that you are able to 

get a game.

It has been necessary for me to do this, so that I am able to have at least one game a week myself.

Mondays and Tuesday will remain the same- you can come without an arranged partner.

If you want a game on Thursday and do not have a partner, please message or ring me by 10AM on the Thursday Morning and I will endeavour to find you someone.

Also please arrive at Bridge at least 15-20 minutes before we start, so that I am able to calculate how many tables are playing that day. 

It is difficult and time consuming to change the movement when people turn up at the last minute.

Carol Joyce has very kindly volunteered to send out a Club Newsletter, every 2 months, keeping us all in touch with what is going on in the Bridge World.
