Welcome To East Sheen Bridge Club

Every Thursday Morning at Our Lady Queen of Peace

Come and play at East Sheen Bridge Club!

We are not a competitive club. We meet every Thursday morning in the church hall at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 222 Sheen Road, Richmond TW10 5AN. Click the Information tab in the menu (on the left in desktop view) for full details and a map link.

We play from 9.30am to 12noon and play deal-at-the table social bridge. Our resident professional tutor Ned Paul circulates and is available for advice and gives a short lesson each week at approximately 10.00am before we break for refreshments.

Everyone is welcome and you don't need a pre-assigned partner - just join an available table and start playing.

Guests and visitors are welcome and you can play three times before becoming a member.

Grand Re-Opening

Grand Re-Opening

Our friendly and welcoming bridge group has met at Our Lady Queen of Peace on Thursday mornings for over 15 years.  As with other bridge groups, during the Covid crisis play was suspended  from February 2020.  Before re-opening we made new arrangements with Our Lady Queen of Peace to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment  With everything in place we were finally able to re-open on Thursday 21st July 2022.  22 members attended along with tutor Ned Paul.  Since then we have met every Thursday and numbers have grown - both more returners and new players as well.  We all enjoy our bridge and are grateful to Ned for his lessons and enthusiasm.

Absolute Beginners

Opportunity to Start From Scratch

Learning bridge is not complicated and doesn't take long - it's just that every time you play you will improve.  The challenge of bridge never diminishes.

You can come and join us at OLQP if you know the basics of bridge. You may have had a few lessons or you may have played once along time ago and want to get back into it.  It really doesn't matter, we will help you pick it up and improve.

If you are a true beginner  you may need to learn the basics first.  Our tutor Ned Paul runs regular 2-day non residential beginner bridge weekends at a bridge club in Paddington.  Learn Bridge in a Weekend will give you an excellent grounding in bridge and lots of playing practice. Learn Bridge in a Weekend has had excellent results over many years and references are available. Recommended.  .

After this course you will easily be able to join our Thursday morning sessions and join in and build up your playing experience in a safe and friendly environment.
