Marian’s funeral will take place on December 9th at 11.00 at Kings Sutton Church and thereafter at the cemetery
Anyone intending to be there is requested to let Ken know so that he can tell her son our numbers

On Thursday the 19th December we will have the KSBC Christmas party - wine, mince pies and a fun bridge session
6.30 glass of wine, 6.50 sit down with partners, 7.00 bridge (in the large hall)
People from both the Wednesday and Thursday groups will be there
For bridge we draw for partners so you could be playing with a star or a rookie
The Bridge tournament is for the Marian Day trophy. The format is an IMPs session and only Ken knows the rules
(Despite this he's never won it)
We do need to know in advance how many people are attending and we'll start recording names nearer the time
For goodness sake, DON'T MISS IT

| Wednesday Mornings |
Calendar: Supervised bridge on Dec 4th and Dec 11th (small hall). Duplicate on Nov 27th and Dec 4th
On December 4th there will be an extended duplicate event that is expected to finish around 12:30
(so more boards can be played). There will still be tables for the usual Supervised Bridge session
for anyone who would prefer that (or who is unable to stay until 12:30)
For Duplicate, please be seated by 9:50 at the latest as 10 minutes are needed to set up the movement
People arriving after this time may not be allowed to play in the Duplicate session
(unless they have phoned and spoken to someone to say they will be late)

Kings Sutton plans to continue offering seminars on Wednesday mornings.
On November 27th there will be a rerun of the Stayman seminar.
One on Playing Your Contract is under development and should be available in the early part of 2025.
For those who cannot attend Wednesday mornings and/or want to learn other topics,
the Stratford and Oxford Bridge Clubs also run courses. For details see:

Every Wednesday morning in the Memorial Hall 9.30 tea and coffee, 10.00 start bridge
Every three weeks or so we run a Duplicate session - see Calendar for dates
From time to time we also run seminars on bridge topics with some advice and practice hands to add to your skills
Please arrive by 9:45 to give the organisers time to finalise the number of tables
and to lay out the equipment.
