| ACBL Charity Foundation Supports Local Charity |
What a wonderful opportunity District 25 experienced in 2025!
The ACBL Charity Foundation provided a generous grant of $30,000 to District 25. To determine how the monies would be distributed, any active ACBL bridge member in District 25 could submit an application for an organization that they were actively involved with (not just as a donor) to request a grant. EMBA received several great applications which were reviewed by a committee of EMBA Board Members. EMBA was allotted three submissions for the grand drawing held at the Regional tournament in Warwick, Rhode Island.
The Bike Connector in Lowell, MA was one of six lucky organizations throughout District 25 to receive a $6,000 grant. The Bike Connector distributed more than 2,200 bikes to children and adults (affordable transportation) in Lowell and surrounding communities in 2025.
The ACBL Charity Foundation’s funds are primarily derived from ACBL games played at face-to-face clubs and tournaments.
