Ron Allen Trophy

Would you like to play in a Droitwich team in the Garden Cities Qualifier ? Details are :

Saturday 29th March, 2025

at Ombersley Memorial Hall, Sandys Road, Ombersley, Worcestershire. WR9 0DY

starting at 1100

The winning team not only wins the Ron Allen Trophy, but also the honour of representing Worcestershire in the Regional Final of the Garden Cities Trophy which will be held on Saturday,10th May, 2025.

Each club team must have 8 people and the cost is £80.00 per team.

There will be a buffet lunch provided - please state if any dietary requirements on the entry form. Team members can bring their own food, if they prefer.

There will be free tea and coffee available throughout the day.

As usual the club will pay for entry fee and food.

Play for the County

Would you like to play for the County team?

The Midland Counties have decided to include a "9-High" team, comprising players with an NGS of 9 or less, or pairs with a combined average NGS of 9 or less, to their county teams. The first two such matches for a 9-High team will be:-

- Sunday 9th Feb against Oxfordshire, on-line with RealBridge.
- Sunday 8th March against Gloucestershire, face-to-face at Cheltenham Bridge Club.

Welcome to Droitwich Bridge Club

Face-to-face : twice-a-month

Due to popular demand we will start playing face-to-face twice each month in 2025. These sessions will be on the first Wednesday and the third Wednesday of each month.

So dates will be :

March 5th and 19th

April 2nd and 16th

etc

ONLINE BRIDGE

Droitwich Bridge Club hold online club sessions on RealBridge every Tuesday at 7pm. To join our next session, click HERE

Our club room will be opened at 6:45 pm for a 7pm start. Please be seated before 7pm, at which time the movement will be decided and play started

Table money is £1.50 for members, £2 for visitors. Monies owing are collected on a quarterly basis, in arrears.

Non-members are welcome. Visitors are requested to send their email address and EBU number to Terry Collins at collinstj3@gmail.com

We are not operating a host system for online games so please ensure that you have arranged a partner in advance

FACE-TO-FACE BRIDGE

We hold afternoon Face-to-Face sessions on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at Ombersley Memorial Hall, Sandys Road, Ombersley WR9 0DY.

Forthcoming dates are Wednesday March 19th and April 2nd

Please be seated by 12:55 for a 1pm start. Table money is £3 for members and £4 for visitors. Refreshments are provided.
