Notice for Annual Fee - For the period Apr 2026 – Mar 2027

It may please be noted that all players registered with the Bridge Federation of India Master Point Registration No. of Delhi State have to pay their annual Master Point fee of Rs. 500 to be paid to BFI.

BFI has sent notice to State associations to deposit the annual fee of their registered players latest by 30th June 2026, so as to allow the States to participate in the Inter State Championship 2026. Hence all players are kindly requested to pay their annual charges of Rs. 500 per player online through DBA web site www.bridgewebs.com/dba by scanning the QR Code given on the web site, or pay in cash at DBA to Mr. Pawan Jha, the caretaker of DBA, giving your name, MP no. and Mobile No.

Request everyone to send their annual fee at the earliest and not later than 20th May 2026. For the convenience of players, we are attaching below the list of DBA registered players sorted “Surname” wise.

Delhi State Bridge Championship 2026

The Delhi State Bridge Championship 2026 will be held at Delhi Bridge Association (DBA) Building as per the following schedule:

Team of Four (Men's Championship) - Only Men can participate:

30^th May 2026, Saturday

Note: The format will depend on no. of teams participating. It may be an all play all format or a Swiss League with WBF’s Continuous 20-0 scale. The no. of boards per round will be decided based on the no. of rounds and not exceeding max 64 boards for the day. In case of Swiss league, top 4 teams will qualify for Semi-finals and in case of all play all, the TOP 2 teams will play the finals.

10.00 AM    Team of Four – Swiss League (Rounds 1-3 of 8 boards each)

02.30 PM    Team of Four – Swiss League (Rounds 4-8 of 8 boards each)

IMPORTANT – There will be a separate Women’s Team event in Inter State Championship, exclusively for ladies, in which any number of teams from a state can participate. As it is an open event, hence no separate Team Championship is being held to select Women’s team through selection. Delhi ladies can form their own teams and participate.

Format to be followed in the Open / Women / Mixed IMP Pair events:

1. The elimination round in PAIRS will be held only if there are more than 28 Pairs participating. Depending on the number of participating pairs, around 22 to 24 boards will be played with Scrambled Mitchell movement. The top 12 pairs will qualify for the FINAL. The FINAL will be of 33 boards (each pair will play 3 boards against all the other 11 Pairs) played with Howell movement.
2. In case of 28 or less no. of Pairs, there will be no elimination round and an all-play-all format will be followed and played in 2-sessions with 2 boards per round.
3. The current quota of Delhi State for representing in the team event of Inter State Championships is of 2 teams and for IMP Pairs event it is of 6 Pairs. However, it will depend on the registered players of Delhi in BFI and will be informed by BFI, depending on how many Delhi players are paying their annual registration fee to BFI.
4. The Mixed & Women IMP Pairs event are just part of the Delhi State and nothing to do with Inter State Championship.

Entry Fee – Team event - Rs. 300 per player (Max 6 Member Team)

              Pair Events - Rs. 600 per Pair.

The winner & runner-up of the Team of Four event of the Delhi State Bridge Championship 2026 will represent Delhi State in the 3rd All India Shree Cement National Inter State Team Championship (a Ranking Point event of BFI) to be held under the aegis of the Bridge Federation of India from 1^st to 4^th August 2026 at Jal Vhar "Grand Lawns" Banquet Hall, Hyderabad. The TOP 6 pairs will represent Delhi State in the IMP Pairs Championship of Inter State.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN DELHI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP:

1. All participants interested to play in in the Team of Four & IMP Pairs event for Selection to the Inter State Championship should have should have the Delhi State Master Point Registration of BFI, which is as D0000xxx. Players of other state or those not registered with Delhi State BFI Registration No. can not participate in the tournament. However, they can play the Mixed & Women IMP Pair events.

2. All the participants should have paid their annual registration fee of Rs. 500 to DBA. Those who have not paid their annual dues are not eligible to participate. However, they can pay the annual fee on the day of the game.
