Myrtle Beach New Year’s Regional (December 29-January 4)

Kudos to Blondelle Grant and her Team for a very successful Regional.

Congratulations to our members who earned both GOLD and RED masterpoints at the Regional last week.  The competition was tough with over 550 players vying for masterpoints throughout the week.  Kudos to the masterpoints.

New Gold and Silver Masterpoint G​ames  ​in ​January

Two new games have been added to our game schedule. 

Every Sunday, beginning Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. there will be a GOLD glitter game.  All you need to do to participate in any of these games each week is sign up by noon on Friday each week.  There will be a sign up sheet each week at the club or you can text Mary each week that you are planning to play on that particular Sunday (803) 960-7545. 

Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. beginning Wednesday, January 14 there will be a SILVER glitter game.  All you need to do to participate in any of these games each week is sign up by Tuesday at noon each week.  There will be a sign up sheet each week at the club or you can text Mary each week that you are planning to play on that particular Wednesday (803) 960-7545.

 New Mentoring Program

Mary is working on a NEW mentoring design for the members of our club.  This program will be open for ALL levels of players.  If you are interested in learning more about this to participate, please let her know.  The program will be limited to a few members each time since it will be an individualized program.  

Face to Face Games at the Club

All Face- to-Face (F2F) Games are Open unless specified otherwise

  • Sunday:  2:00 p.m. Glitter Gold game (must sign up by Friday at noon each week).
  • Monday:  10:00 a.m. GRAND SLAM Monday. Bid and make a grand slam and win a free regular game. On Mondays (immediately after the game)  Mary will take 10-15 minutes after game to review bidding on some of the more challenging boards that were played during the game.
  • Tuesday:  10:00 a.m. 
  • Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. on January 7:  The game will be at The Lexington Country Club.
  • Wednesdays:  6:00 p.m. SILVER Glitter game.  You MUST either sign-up at Club or text Mary by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays (the day before the game each week) (803) 960-7545.                       
  • Thursday: 10:00 a.m. Games at  Club except for 1st Thursday.  You MUST sign up at Club or text Mary each week by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays (803) 960-7545.                                  
  • On Thursday, January 8, the game is at the Palmetto Mortgage Company,  925 East Main street, Lexington, SC 29072.  Take exit 58 off of I-20 west, turn heading toward Lexington.  The Palmetto Mortgage Company is 1 ½ miles on left. This game is normally held on the first Thursday of the month.  This was changed this month since the first Thursday was New Year’s Day.
  • Friday:  10:00 a.m.

3.  Bidding in the 21st Century

Bidding is 80% of the game.  There are so many things to know to be a SOLID bridge player.  Come and learn or refresh your bidding with Mary. You must sign-up by Monday, January 12 at the club.
