I am sorry to announce that we have recently had to cancel one of the weekly duplicates due to lack of numbers, despite Sue’s sterling efforts to drum up pairs to come and play.  The Committee decided some time ago that, at very low levels of attendance, the evening duplicate should be cancelled.  We always regret having to take this decision, but the alternative – running a session with very low turnout – seems even less desirable.

I do hope that, soon, pairs will come flooding back to compete over the coming weeks.  I can’t stress enough how important it is to support your club, to ensure that it is still there when you want to play!

We hold good standard Duplicate Bridge on Wednesday evenings. 

Pre-dealt boards are used for all sessions, with hand records provided. Bridgemates are used, so the result is known soon after the last board is played. The result is published on this website at latest the next day.

There are currently 3 teams teams in the Berks and Bucks League of Eight. 

There is a bar which may be used by our Members and we provide free tea and coffee. 

In order to ensure a prompt start and timely finish and as a courtesy to the tournament director we would urge all players to arrive at least 5 minutes before play is due to commence.

In the event of only 3 tables and the movement having been set up, it will not be possible to offer a late arriving pair (without prior notice) a game that evening.
