Member Phone List and
New Partnership Help Desk Information |
Dear members,
The phone list for the Adult Center's members is no longer public information. You must be a registered member of the Adult Center to access the phone list through the new Adult Center Members Only section. The phone list has been removed from unauthorized public eye to promote security of our member's personal information.
The only public information now under the 'Member Information' tab is our member's names, email addresses, masterpoint histories, and masterpoint totals. Masterpoint totals are updated once a month, on or about the sixth day when I receive the official totals from the ACBL.
To gain access to the new Members Only section, simply click the 'Adult Center Members Only' link in the left pane next to the other page links within our website, or the Members Only link in the upper right of the home page. You will be prompted to enter a username and password. If you already registered with the website, your password has been reset, and you will need to register again with the club's new registration code for security.
This registration code is what assures the privacy of your information, as well your association with our club. To get the registration code, email the webmaster (Michael Bucklein) at mbucklein@gmail.com, or call him at (928) 642-7144. I will call you after I receive an email to be sure the right person receives the registration code, and not somebody trying to gain access to our member's information who is not a member of our club.
I'll also help you get registered if you have difficulty with the website. Please call me if any of this information is unclear or if you have difficulties.
As your new webmaster, I'm here to help. My phone number and email are also on the new page 'Our Club Directors,' as well as the contact information for our other Directors. Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. My goal is to constantly seek out ways to improve our website, as it is an important function of our club's success.
I am also your new contact if your email address is not on our list and you would like it to be. By default, emails are not entered unless the member requests it.
Lastly, in this new Members Only section, there is a new partnership help desk with a simple drop-down box containing up to two weeks of one-line "I need a partner for XYZ date" choices. There are other boiler plate selections as well, but if none of them fit your needs, simply write your own post in the white text box after you select the duration of your post. The instructions on how to create a post are already on the page. When you create a post, you also need to specify in another drop-down box how long you want your message to be displayed.
If you need a partner, check first with this new partnership help desk to see who is in need of a partner as well. If there is nobody looking for the day you want, post your own new request for a partner. Of course, the earlier you post your message, the more likely the chance someone will notice that they'd like to play on the date you specified.
I hope this new partner help desk proves useful for our members. Keep an eye out for more updates to the website to improve our club's communication, bolster all of our bridge skills, and, perhaps most importantly, make new friends. In the end, that's really what bridge is all about.
